Introducing ME!

Hi! My name is Zoe Ganis. I am a 22 year old Communications Fellow Pop Culture & Production major with a minor in Fashion merchandising. I am from Mooresville, North Carolina which is 45 mins from Charlotte and around 1.15 hours from High Point, NC. In my studies, I am working towards learning more about social media by taking a Social Media & Analytics course. As a Pop Culture & Production major, I am supposed to be a movie buff who writes creatively and can work a camera with their eyes closed, but I am not that. I do love movies but I do not like writing them. I love cameras, but I do not like working with them. In a dream world, I would be graduating with a degree in Strategic Communication with a minor in Social Media Marketing, but that's a story for another time. On-campus I am involved in organizations such as the Student Government Association, Phi Mu sorority as well as the Panhellenic executive committee, all of which I run social media accounts for. Outside of class, I like to watch Youtube spend too much time on Tik Tok, Workout, Facetime my dog's Cowboy, & Griffin and hang out with friends. From a very young age I have always been interested in social media and the overall concept of creating content. I was always obsessed with my Dads camera and would bring it around the house filming different tutorials on how to make your bed, how to brush your teeth and film different dance videos to my favorite songs at the time. Fast forward to the creation of social media, surprisingly I never fully pursued content creation for myself but throughly enjoy others content. I am the type of person who would rather watch a new vlog than a new episode of my favorite show. After graduating from High Point, I hope to not be living at home. Since my interests lie within content creation in fashion or beauty, I hope to be able to move to a big city and work for a well known company by creating or planning content for their social media platforms. My "post-grad dream" would be to move to Los Angeles and work for the brand SET Active. I love their products, the content that they create as well as how their overall brand is portrayed online. Before I close out this first blog post, here are some random fun facts. My favorite color is green, I love sushi and boba, I have 2 tattoos.
